Earth Week is one of the most significant weeks for EverLights. As a company, we were founded on the idea that sustainability and recycling is paramount to the survival of the planet. We do this by providing simple lamp recycling, e-waste, and battery recycling programs for our clients across the country.
An example of one of our innovative services is our LampCycle mail-back program. This program provides customers a way to recycle their burned-out lamps without having to leave their homes or offices. When a lamp is burned out, the maintenance person puts it into a LampCycle box. When the box is full, it’s mailed back to EverLights for 100% recycling. We offer a similar service for our battery and e-waste customers as well.
For our customers that have a larger quantity of lamps, we offer a dockside pick-up service. All of the paperwork, labeling, and packaging are provided by us prior to the scheduled pick-up.
So, why all this effort for lighting, e-waste, and battery recycling? All lighting contains a small amount of mercury. Mercury never decomposes, and therefore bioaccumulates in our environment, eventually making its way to our waterways and into the fish we consume. By recycling lighting and e-waste, a company or individual is doing their part to eliminate the number one source of this toxicity in our environment.
