Important DBE Program Update and What It Means for Our Industry
Recent federal updates to the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program are reshaping how participation goals are managed across the construction and infrastructure industries. Under the new guidance, all DBE-certified firms must now demonstrate economic disadvantage independent of race or gender. As a result, many agencies across the country have temporarily paused DBE participation goals on both current and future projects while recertification takes place.
1/ How This Affects Contractors & Suppliers
For years, DBE partnerships have been an essential part of winning bids, especially when paired with competitive pricing, dependable delivery, and strong project performance. Many of our customers have built trusted relationships with EverLights based on these principles, and we’re proud to have been part of that success. While DBE requirements are expected to remain paused until early 2026, our commitment to you has not changed.
2/ What Remains the Same
- Our certifications are still active: WBE, SBE, and MBE (Maryland).
- Our service, pricing, and expertise remain exactly what you expect from EverLights.
- Quotes, sourcing, logistics, and project support continue without interruption.
Your continued partnership, requesting pricing, placing orders, and including us in projects during this transition, reinforces that our relationships are built on more than certification. They’re built on performance, consistency, and trust.
3/ Moving Forward Together
As the industry adapts to these federal changes, EverLights remains fully operational and ready to support your projects nationwide, from sourcing and logistics to jobsite delivery and recycling programs.
If you have questions about how this impacts your bids, contracts, or supplier diversity requirements, our team is here to help.
