The renovation of the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place was a fast-moving, design-driven project that required creative problem-solving and close coordination from start to finish. Without a dedicated lighting designer on the team, EverLights collaborated directly with the design and construction teams to bring the vision to life—providing thoughtful lighting solutions, detailed renderings, and mock-ups for review and approval.
Throughout the project, we participated in regular on-site meetings to ensure precision and alignment with the design intent. When a key area was discovered to have a reversed linear layout, our team quickly worked with the electrical contractor on-site over the weekend to modify and install the fixtures, solving the issue without impacting the schedule.
A unique and celebrated aspect of this project was the strong representation of women across all teams, from design to construction to lighting. The ownership team acknowledged this as a first for them, noting that the collaboration contributed meaningfully to both the smooth execution and the beautiful final result.
