400 Lake Shore Drive
400 Lake Shore Drive is a large-scale two-tower residential development rising on the former site of the long-abandoned Chicago Spire project. Developed by Related Midwest and designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the project is planned as a new gateway to Chicago’s lakefront, with residential towers, shared amenity spaces, and improved riverfront access. The first tower will rise 72 stories and include hundreds of apartments, including affordable units, while the broader development will ultimately include a mix of luxury residences, hospitality components, and public-facing outdoor spaces.
EverLights provided lighting across nearly every aspect of the development, supporting common areas, lobby spaces, amenity areas, exterior and garage lighting, site lighting, and residential units across a wide range of price points. Our team also supplied the outdoor light poles used throughout the site, helping create a cohesive experience from the street and entry sequence through the building interiors.
Beyond the lighting package itself, EverLights played a major project management role throughout the build. We coordinated weekly deliveries over the course of more than a year, provided job storage to keep the site organized, and worked closely with the project team to help maintain budgets while keeping construction moving efficiently. On a project of this scale and complexity, that level of coordination was essential to ensuring the right products arrived at the right time and that the overall lighting strategy remained consistent across every phase of the development.
