This certification is difficult to gain, and currently there are only five facilities within the United States who have earned the prestigious NAID Data Sanitization and Destruction Certification. The procedures for data sanitization adhere to the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (i.e., Department of Defense, DoD, specifications 5220.22-M for data destruction). All electronic material is recycled and processed in the United States.
